About the World Flora Online project

With the incorporation of content from Flora Helvetica, Flora d’Afrique Central, Flora of Australia and multiple data sources from New York Botanic Garden we now have over half a million pieces of descriptive content. These range from morphology, habits and habitats to distribution and general information; all available through our main portal. 

Most of the content is at the species level, with 133,348 species with at least one piece of descriptive content and a further 20k taxa ranging from Families to Forms with associated content.
