The International Association for Plant Taxonomy (IAPT) joins the WFO family.
The World Flora Online welcomes the International Association for Plant Taxonomy (IAPT) as a Consortium Member.
The IAPT is a non-profit organisation founded in 1950 to promote, support and facilitate taxonomic, systematic and nomenclatural research into algae, fungi and plants. It currently has nearly 1000 members in 60 countries, with offices in Bratislava (Slovakia) and Washington DC (USA).
We hope that IAPT members can contribute to the WFO by joining or forming Taxonomic Expert Networks to help us curatio our taxonomic backbone or join one of our three working groups: the Technical Working Group, the Taxonomic Working Group, and the Communications Working Group.
